Summary/Abstract: Through this article I wanted to present the unparalleled contribution that Queen Marie had to the formation of the country’s cultural heritage, but also to its promotion. Even though she was one of the most loved and respected monarchs that our country has had, I believe that the various examples and situations addressed throughout this article truly reflect the value of the sovereign’s legacy, especially through the range of her’s artistic, humanitarian and diplomatic activities that were analyzed. All this stand as a testimony to the fact that the devotion and gratitude of the romanian people, for their queen, stood the test of time, and is completely justified even today.
