Summary/Abstract: According to DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, M.İ, 22 years old had symptoms of obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD) in this case study. This study focuses on the efficacy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) methods in the management of a male client named. This is mentioned that M.İ.'s sexual obsessions make it difficult for her to carry out daily activities, and the problems she has with her boyfriend and in human relationships increase her functionality. The client's sexual obsessions are observed to lead to thoughts becoming uncontrollable and compulsive compensatory behaviors, which in turn cause feelings of guilt, inadequacy, and being a bad person. M.İ. made the decision to attend therapy, mentioning that he had not been offered any psychological support until he was 22 years old and that he had thought he could get over his thoughts, but that he had lost control and could no longer put up with them due to recent events. There were nine sessions in the therapy process; the first two were evaluation sessions. The remaining sessions included goal-setting, psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, exposure and response prevention, coping skills, breathing exercises, and alternative ways of thinking. By using CBT techniques, we have shown the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and the symptoms of M.I., by reducing the frequency and severity of M.I.'s intense feelings of anxiety, guilt and loss of control, as well as her sexual obsessions. This offers to evaluate the change.
