Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the question of whether the Venetian Doge Andrea Dandolo, when compiling his Chronica extensa in the mid-14th century, used data from the so-called Chronicle of the Priest of Dioclea. By analysing the relevant data in Dandolo’s work, we can determine its origin and thus answer this specific question.
