Summary/Abstract: The subject under discussion refers to the attempt to make visible/ understandable a mountain route that passes through the Vâlcan Pass, located in the Southern Carpathians, and which from Antiquity until the 1890s was the road that could be used to reach to the southern region, from today’s Gorj, to Ţara Haţegului and Transylvania, crossing the Jiu Valley. This theme was popularized by placing panels along the “Stagecoach Road” route, explaining the significance of the places or landmarks there, and by printing two leaflets.
