Summary/Abstract: The aim of this essay is to reflect on two texts by Tadeusz Różewicz: the poem nauka chodzenia (Learning to Walk) and the poet’s published will. They are linked by the patronage of Dietrich Bonhoeffer – a German pastor, oppositionist, and artist who was executed in 1945. The analyzed texts were considered to be writings that shaped ideas about the new German-Polish borderlands, i.e., those that arose as a result of the shifting of borders after World War II. In this context, the possibility of viewing the influence of Bonhoeffer’s ethical stance was expanded.
