Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the psychological features of the content, organization forms and methods of moral education of junior pupils. The essence of the concepts of «values», «innovative technologies», «moral education» is defined. It is established that primary school age is a sensitive period for moral education. The effectiveness of education depends on taking into account such aspects: schoolchildren’s age and individual characteristics; characteristics of the children’s group; the specific conditions of educational process organization. The features of the use of game technologies and case method in the process of junior pupils’ moral education are outlined. The algorithm of using game technologies is presented. The didactic principles of the use of case method are considered, its characteristic features are highlighted. A brief analysis of research on this issue is carried out: the interpretation of the concepts of «values», «moral education», «innovative pedagogical technologies», «game technologies», «case study» is presented. The psychological peculiarities of moral education are outlined; the role of the individual’s system of values and value orientations in the process of moral education is defined. It has been established that the effectiveness of the formation of moral values largely depends on the awareness of the process of education, the purposefulness and systematic nature of extracurricular work aimed at learners’ moral education, and the active involvement of parents in the process of education. The psychological and pedagogical aspects of junior pupils’ moral education are set: the purpose, tasks, results of the propaedeutic stage of professional orientation; consideration of age characteristics and needs; peculiarities of using game technologies and case study method. The content of junior pupils’ moral education is substantiated and expanded by introducing innovative technologies into the educational process. Innovative technologies provide an opportunity to achieve an effective result of individual development of pupils’ personality, their acquisition of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
