Summary/Abstract: This article examines the priestly and episcopal ministry of Saint Basil the Great in close connection with the key events of his life. It highlights his pastoral and missionary activity during the years of his priesthood and later as bishop, emphasizing his decisive role in shaping the spiritual and ecclesial life of his time. Particular attention is given to the practical counsels and exhortations he addressed to priests, reflecting his vision of a responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented clergy. The study also explores biographical aspects that illuminate his character and motivations, as well as his pastoral, missionary, and administrative achievements. Through this integrated perspective, the article presents Saint Basil as a model of ecclesial leadership and a formative voice for the priesthood in the early Church.
