Summary/Abstract: Postmodern society brings cultural and technological transformations that change the meaning of communication and moral values, emphasizing relativism and fragmentation. Communication ethics becomes essential because it analyzes moral responsibilities in the communication process, which is different from morality and deontology. Communication, seen not only as the transmission of information but as intersubjective dialogue, participates in the construction of reality and the formation of morality. The media and digitalisation profoundly influence human behaviour, generating both manipulation and new opportunities for participation. Current social communication is marked by asymmetries, diversity of practices and the overlap between the private and public spheres. In a world dominated by hypercommunication and globalization, the challenge is to maintain authentic communication capable of sustaining meaning, responsibility, and trust.
