Summary/Abstract: Studying the traditions of the Romanian people, collecting folklore and publishing it in various publications of the time were the desires of many writers, as well as people of culture, professors or teachers from the country, but also from Banat. Whether we refer to teachers who taught at the Theological Institute or the Pedagogical Institute in Caransebeș, or to people with training in other fields, our attention was drawn to the scientific documentation and the illustration of the contents with representative examples of the traditions or customs presented. Last but not least, we mention the willingness of the editors of the publication "Foaia diecezană" from Caransebeș to publish in its pages materials rich in information, studies that are still interesting today. We propose to present some of the Romanian customs and traditions as they appear in the aforementioned publication.
