Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the challenges faced by teachers teaching Polishto adult forced migrants from Ukraine in Warsaw. Empirical analysis reveals a lackof systemic support and preparation for working with this group, leading to a senseof overload and the need to independently seek effective teaching strategies. Thearticle aims to explore the specifics of conducting language courses at a specific timefollowing the escalation of the war in Ukraine, as well as to highlight the practicalimplications of research and theory in adult learning, which can be used to developappropriate solutions to support teachers in their work.
