Summary/Abstract: In the article, the authors analyzed a monument to the history and law of foreign countries during the Middle Ages - the "Salic Law". In particular, during the analysis, the researchers made a brief analysis of the source itself, outlining a brief structure that may be useful to anyone who studies this history or law during classes. Analyzing the text of the specified collection of legal norms, the contributors made a brief description of the main points, the rules of conduct of that time, where the issue of criminal-legal relations occupies almost the main place. The authors also identified other areas of public life that are regulated by the "Salic Law". In particular, marital and family relations, land-legal, judicial-legal. No less important in the article is the issue of division into classes, from which the then Frankish kings were based to govern the country, which is clearly visible even from the very names of the sections. At the same time, the authors confirmed that the "Salic Law" essentially became almost the main document of the ancient Franks among other barbarian truths that regulated the life of the Germans in the early Middle Ages. It played a crucial role in the formation of the legal system of the then Frankish state, which in turn influenced the further formation of the national legal system of a number of European countries. It absorbed all the experience of Roman law, improving it, although it was in places rough formalized and fragmentary.
