Summary/Abstract: The article provides a historical account of the nursing activities conducted by the Congregation of the Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at the district hospital in Konin from 1938 to 1961. This publication documents the involvement of the religious sisters in patient care at the Konin medical facility during World War II, as well as during the subsequent political and social changes leading up to 1961. For the first time, the status of the religious personnel employed at this institution has been reconstructed and presented within a broader geographical and historical framework, which includes an overview of the network of hospital facilities operated by this congregation from 1899 to 1938. The research is primarily supported by documentation from the Main Archives of the Congregation of the Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as inquiries into state archives – including the Archives of the Institute of National Remembrance and the Stanisław Konopka Main Medical Library – yielded only limited results. Additionally, a cartographic representation of these activities has been developed, utilizing research data from the Centre for Research on the Historical Geography of the Church in Poland at the Catholic University of Lublin, particularly from the Atlas klasztorów od X do XXI wieku (Atlas of Monasteries and Convents in Poland from the 10th to the 21st Century).
