Summary/Abstract: Introduction. This article presents the educational path and academic degrees and titles obtained by father Edward Walewander. It outlines his professional career path along with places of employment, as well as a characterisation of his academic and pastoral activities. Additionally, information about his most significant publications and scientific research is included. Aim. The aim of this study was to present the figure of one of the more well-known educators, historians of education, and researchers of church history. Methods and materials. A comparative and retrospective method was used, allowing for the presentation of father Edward Walewander’s academic achievements as a historian of education and educator. Results and conclusion. The content highlights the professor as an educator and author of numerous scientific publications both in Poland and abroad, associated with the Catholic University of Lublin.
