Summary/Abstract: While the story of Snow White is now most closely associated with the film by Walt Disney, this presentation lacks many of the important elements which makes this fairy tale so important. These alterations by Walt Disney were the result of an effort to make the story more palpable for his intended audience and due to a lack of understanding about the importance of the various elements in the story. This article seeks to show the importance of the many elements in the story that were changed and the negative effect of these alterations.
