Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the history of Christianism and of the churches in Kosovo, respectively in Ancient Dardania, since the first half of the second century (117-138), with sacrifice of the first two Christian martyrs, Flori and Lauri. The author had traced in mediaeval documents (Latin-Roman, Byzantine, Slavic- Serbian, Ottoman-Tur-kish etc.), than he had read and studied the works of the numbered authors, as well as searched for a long period of time in the fieldwork for Christianity and the churches in Kosovo. Thus, according to the historical data which he offers, for the first time are illuminated rele-vant issues regarding Christianity among Kosovo Albanians and regarding authentic genesis of Illyrian-Albanian churches in Kosovo. The author speaks broadly and convincingly for The Church in Mitrovica’s Bajë/Kishën e Bajës së Mitrovicës, which as a church of a catholic rite, by Islamization of one part of village’s Albanians, Turks had turned the church of the village into the mosque. For the first time demonstrates convincingly that the mother of King Dušan, Martja was Albanian perhaps born in Mitrovica’s Bajë in Kosovo. Same for the first time illuminates the origin of Nemanjić’s, that they were form Dukla, district of Shkodra; that they were originally of catholic con-fession, and that, not only according to Albanian Marta but also to the names of their ancestors, Likije-male name and Anna-female name, they were rather of Illyrian-Albanian origin than Slavic. In a comprehensive manner and with undeniable facts he proves that large and powerful mediaeval churches in Kosovo are of catholic rite’s origin, same as were Albanians themselves during that period, more catholic than orthodox, in Kosovo. Then that, during the Turkish dominion, some churches which were yet of catholic rite were ruined or broken (for example: Manastir of Shën Mëhillit and Gavril angels in Perzeren, built in 1348?, The church of Dollci and Shën Pjetri and Pali in Ujmir -1330 of Llapusha and the Church of Deviq in Drenica’s Skenderaj, etc.), whereas some which were more of orthodox rite were not ruined, since they were protected by Orthodox-Byzantine center in Istanbul (for example, Manastir in Deçan, Manastir in Graçanica, Pa-triarchate in Peja etc.).
