Summary/Abstract: In this paper there are discussed in diachronic and synchrony some onomastics issues of Dardania (Kosova), compared with similar onomastics data among Arbëreshë of Calabria’s in Southern Italy (especially on the basis of the work of Arbëresh writer Jeronim de Rada). There has been put light in hypothetical way on some onomastics issues, e. x.: the name of Illyrian-Dardanian tribe Galabroi, from which it supposed that is derived the name of province Calabria in the south of Italy, and the name of province Gallap in Kosovo, derived from the word gal (i galëm- e galme) and ap “ujë”=water, name of the river Timok from the words i thimë-i thinjur=grey-headed “i turbulltë”=turbulent;, i përhimtë=grey; name of tribe Triballi from Albanian words Tri+ball; and many anthroponyms, patronymics, microtoponyms, etc. There are compared many linguistic phenomena in ancient onoms in Dardania with similar phenomena with present day patronymics, e. x. ancient names of ethnicons or tribes with ending –i: Triballi, Galabri, Dardani, Mysi, Kordisci, Picensi, Visigothi, Tricornesii etc., with patronymics of today: Bardiqi (from i, e bardhë), Barliqi, Burzinci (from burrë and zi), Arnauti, Latinci, Gjoninci, Paliqi, Dodiqi etc. And especially comparison of Albanian word tirq, performed by Eqrem Çabej, which is used in Dibër and in Kosovë, and with the same meaning it is used among the Arbëreshë of Calabria, while with this meaning, on the other hand is not used among the Albanians of Greece, nor among those of Sicily, or even in Southern Albania.
