Summary/Abstract: Exactly 78 years earlier, in 1931 (February 18-19), Milan Shuflaj was murdered perfidiously in Zagreb by Yugoslavian police. Towards this inhuman action raised whole civilized world, including Albert Einstein and Heinrich Mann. In Albania abot this was written in new-spapers such as “Arbënia”, “Vullneti i Popullit” etc. besides this reac-ted lots of organizations and personality of science and letters, among which were also Lumo Skendo (Mit`hat Frashëri) and Faik Konica. Even though he died during his most vital age of life, at age when mos of scientists and writers achieve the zenith of their crea-tivity, Shuflaj left behind him a large scientific and creative opus, al-most unprecedented in Croatian history and culture. He published by then around 3000 papers. Such a major activity of Shuflaj disproves the opinion dominating for a long time that he had written a little but reality is quite different and most of his books and studies he wrote in German, Hungarian and Latin languages which he translated later into Croatian. However, unfortunately most of these books and studies were not translated into Croatian and not to mention into Albanian. Regarding Milan Shuflaj’s great contribution in Albanological studies, the ex president of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, during a scientific session which was organized by the Arkivi i Shtetit dhe Muzeu His-torik Kombëtar /State Archive and National History Museum/ (Shuflaj dhe shqiptarët/Shuflaj and Albanians), rewarded the prominent Cro-atian scientist and Albanologist with golden order “Naim Frashëri”, with the motivation: “For prominent contribution in the studies of Albanology, for scientific and objective character of defending Alba-nian issue in his work”.
