Summary/Abstract: Purpose: This article explores the presence of Surrealism in the 20th-century illustrated popular press, using Salvador Dalí's collaborations with magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Playboy, and The American Weekly as examples. The aim of the text was to demonstrate how the artist utilized mass media as a creative space and a tool for popularizing his Surrealist style and ideas. Research Methods: Selected graphic designs and illustrations by Dalí published in the press were analyzed, taking into account their aesthetic, communicative, and cultural functions. Visual and contextual analysis methods were employed, juxtaposing the images themselves with the strategies they used within mass culture and the media realities of the era. Results and Conclusions: Dalí's collaboration with the illustrated press allowed him to bring elements of avant-garde art into widespread circulation in an innovative way. The artist consciously utilized the language of advertising, fashion, and illustration to expand the reach of Surrealism, simultaneously building his image as a total artist—present not only in museums but also in the glossy press. Originality/Cognitive Value: The text addresses a less frequently analyzed aspect of Salvador Dalí's work—his conscious activity within the print media. The article brings a new perspective to research on the reception of Surrealism, pointing to the role of the press as a channel for the distribution of the avant-garde and a tool for shaping the mass visual imagination.
