Summary/Abstract: Usually, we think about fonts in a pragmatic or aesthetic context, but the political repercussions of typographic choices have been known for a long time. The typeface is the visual form of the language, which means that its connotations with politics are unavoidable. The article aims to present the role of typography in politics with particular emphasis on presidential campaigns in the United States of America. The paper refers to the period from the 1930s to the 2020s.
