Summary/Abstract: “Kamilek’s Act” of 2023 concerning the system of protection of minors has caused interpre-tative problems in the area of personal data protection. This situation was to be changedby an amendment that was vetoed by the President. The article analyzes the vetoed draftamendment in terms of regulations concerning personal data protection, with particu-lar emphasis on the perspective of church entities conducting educational activities. Theconclusion from the analysis is as follows: the proposed regulations should be assessedpositively as a step towards harmonizing the system of protection of minors with GDpr re-quirements and increasing the legal security of entities obliged to apply provisions on theprotection of minors. The results of this research may be useful in future legislative workin the context of the need to provide church entities with clear provisions enabling thelawful implementation of their educational mission.
