Summary/Abstract: Industry 4.0 introduces changes to the functioning of organizations, encompassing all aspects of theiroperations. Key technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and automation are seen as the foundationof future development, enabling organizations to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes and adaptmore quickly to dynamic market changes. A study conducted among Generation Z reveals their high awarenessof the significance of new technologies and the opportunities they bring to the labour market. At the sametime, respondents highlight the need for further development of digital competencies, the lack of which maybecome a barrier to fully leveraging the potential of Industry 4.0. The growing threats related to cybersecurityrepresent another critical area of interest for Generation Z, by recognizing the necessity for investing in dataprotection specialists and IT system security. While Industry 4.0 is associated with numerous challenges, itopens opportunities for organizations to increase their competitiveness and contribute to building a sustain‑able economy for the future.
