Summary/Abstract: Consumer purchasing behavior has an impact on the development of distribution channels and last-mile logistics. The aim of the study was to analyze students’ opinions on food supply channels and also to identify proposals for the use of artificial intelligence solutions in its optimization. The research tool was a survey questionnaire. Only 12% of the respondents aged 19–20 declared that they do not shop for food online. The main shopping platform was Allegro. The most common criteria for choosing delivery were cost and speed. Delivery to a parcel box was preferred. Respondents indicated that the parcel could not be opened when it was placed in the box. The optimization of routes and forecasting the scale of purchases of a specific category of food products were indicated as the main opportunities to use AI tools in last-mile logistics.
