Summary/Abstract: The article describes the the story of the Słoniński siblings, who were born in Ląd and Kock. They all came from a family with a strong tradition of patriotism. The four brothers played an active role in the struggle for an independent Poland. They represented various professional backgrounds and had all achieved success in their respective fields. The eldest brother – Zygmund, was a doctor. Marian was a lawyer by profession but he chose to pursue a career as a professional officer in the Polish army. Jan became a priest. The youngest brother – Wacław realised himself as a lawyer. The article draws on a variety of archival sources and literature on the subject.
