Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the role of logistics centers (LCs) as key elements of the global supply chain, emphasizing their impact on the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises. The aim of the study was to identify the role of logistics centers in the global supply chain based on the activities of the Europlatforms association, which unites over 100 logistics centers from nine European Union countries. The research utilized a SWOT analysis and a comparative analysis of data from logistics centers in Spain, Germany, Poland and Italy. The findings indicate that logistics centers develop more intensively in countries with higher levels of economic development. Moreover, the position of logistics centers in rankings is determined by the quality of the infrastructure and the frequency of deliveries made on time or within a scheduled period. The SWOT analysis highlighted that the weaknesses of logistics centers include outdated infrastructure and limited availability of qualified personnel. On the other hand, opportunities for the development of such facilities lie in the expansion of intermodal networks and the implementation of new technologies. The results of the analyses confirm the strategic importance of logistics as elements that enhance efficiency and competitiveness in global supply chains.
