Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the information factor as a key element of the operational environment in modern land operations. It examines its manifestations as an instrument of national power, an environmental factor, and an operational factor, as well as its connection to achieving cognitive superiority. The focus is placed on the concept of multi-domain operations and Colonel John Boyd’s OODA (Observe – Orient – Decide – Act) loop. The article emphasizes the need for an integrated approach to the information domain in order to achieve and maintain initiative in combat actions.
