PRIVATE SCHOOL OR PUBLIC SCHOOL? JOB SATISFACTION ANALYSIS

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a significant relationship between the job satisfaction levels of teachers working in different institutions. The study includes public and private high school teachers in the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya. The study examined the relationship between the subdimensions of job satisfaction and the demographic characteristics of the teachers. The results showed that, in general, public high school teachers had higher job satisfaction regarding the qualities of their profession compared to private high school teachers. It was also concluded that private high school teachers experienced greater job dissatisfaction, particularly in the areas of salary and promotion, compared to public high school teachers.
