Summary/Abstract: The present study aimed to theoretically and applicatively analyze the relationship between a set of non-cognitive attributes, supported by sufficient empirical evidence-namely, academic self-efficacy, grit (passion and perseverance), growth mindset, academic motivation, and conscientiousness as a personality trait, and academic performance, to identify a valid predictive model. a sample of 129 undergraduate of the Psychology students. Their ages ranged from 18 to 29 years (M = 22.98; SD = 2.74). The results indicated that grit is a significant predictor of academic performance (R² change = .391; F change (2, 119) = 61.281, p = .000). At the individual level, the following were found to be significant predictors of academic performance: Age (β = –.127), Conscientiousness (β = –.244), Academic Motivation (β = .148), Consistency of Interest (β = –.147), Perseverance of Effort (β = .706).
