Differences between the tenor arias in the operas of Verdi and Puccini

Summary/Abstract: Verdi and Puccini are opera masters. Their works have a huge influence. We can see significant differences between their creations, vocal style and emotional treatment. Learning of vocal methods of the tenor arias in their operas not only allows us to feel these difference more deeply, but also provides us an opportunity to improve our vocal performances. This article analyses the differences in the vocal style of the tenor arias of Verdi and Puccini concerning their music works, vocal methods, and emotional expression, with a hope to be useful for singers.
