Summary/Abstract: The Church is both a human and divine reality, rooted in history yet transcending time. Synodality, proclaimed as the Church’s path in the 21st century, raises fundamental questions about communication, listening, and discernment in decision-making. This article examines synodality at the parish level, not as an abstract concept but as a communal practice. The research, based on an ethnographic approach, includes 20 in-depth interviews and participant observations in two parishes: one urban and one rural. By actively engaging in synodal meetings, the author investigates the dynamics of the process and its impact on the community. The study reflects on whether synodality truly fosters greater participation among the faithful and whether it can become a real model for decision-making within the Church.
