Summary/Abstract: The cultural and creative industries represent a significant range of industries. Social, cultural and technological changes have helped to quench thirst and demand for cultural products, new forms of entertainment, distraction and inspiration. Driven by these trends, entirely new industries have emerged. The cultural and creative industries are being repackaged to satisfy consumers' insatiable desire for culture and creativity. The wide scale and fragmented nature of the activities of the "Special Events" phenomenon allows this business to be characterized as an "industry". The overlap of activities is so complex that it covers if not the whole, then most of the cultural and creative industries. The market for events has expanded to the point where it is clear that they are becoming more integrated into the daily lives of cities. Cities around the world develop and use cultural events to achieve a number of goals: economic, social and political and cultural. The increase in the number of event management companies and event organizers is also an indication of this. Although there are still a number of personal events that can be held with relatively little need for organizational or technical support, larger activities, such as VIP events, openings, sporting events, concerts, or entertainment events, increasingly require great complexity, and the share of the sector of major events is becoming increasingly apparent. Events can be considered ephemeral, but they still generate the most valuable of modern goods - symbolic capital.
