Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse the rights of the child in the context of “Social studies” in еlementary stage of school education. Emphasis is put on the The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the recognizing that: for the full and harmonious development of the child‘s personality, the child should grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding, and the child‘s education should be directed to the development of his personality, his talents, mental and physical abilities to the realization of their fullest potential. In accordance with the key role of the family and education outlined in the document, the “Social studies” training is presented through the prism of building relationships “child – family – school”. Practical decisions to application of methods for social-emotional learning are offered.
