Summary/Abstract: Human life takes place in the space of encountering the Other. The Other is always the one who reveals himself as a person encountered within the world. Being-in￾the-world is being among and with others. The encountered other – the stranger, demands with its presence a specific openness, openness to the effort of understanding. The Other, the second person is a challenge, introduces into the dialogical and ethical plan at the same time. Recognizing the good and value of the Other is a condition for dialogue to oc￾cur. Dialogue, its existence, is also a possibility and a chance to overcome mutual hostility and prejudice. Perceiving the complex richness of otherness in the Other through attempts to understand and accept it turns out to be a special challenge in the world of interreligious and interdenominational encounters. The authors of this study would like to point to in￾terreligious dialogue as a guarantor and basis for shaping the conditions of security in a world burdened with risk and anxiety. They would like to draw attention to the complex and difficult conditions of dialogue, showing its possible limits and limitations.
