Summary/Abstract: There is extensive literature indicating that public service motivation (PSM) has a positive impact on job satisfaction among employees in public institutions. Additionally, public employees' perceptions of organizational politics—particularly regarding resource distribution and power struggles within their institutions—are also associated with PSM. This study primarily examines the effect of PSM on job satisfaction among public employees working in public institutions in Diyarbakır. Furthermore, it investigates the moderating roles of organizational politics perception, age, and experience levels in the relationship between PSM and job satisfaction. The research data were collected from 353 public employees in Diyarbakır using a convenience sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis in the JASP software. The findings reveal a positive relationship between PSM and job satisfaction. Moreover, as public employees' perceptions of organizational politics increase, the strength of this positive relationship also intensifies. However, age and experience levels were found to have no significant effect on the relationship between PSM and job satisfaction. The study's findings align with the broader literature on this topic, suggesting that the relationship between PSM and job satisfaction is of a universal nature.
