Summary/Abstract: This article presents the role of the Holy Unmercenary Physicians in the history of Christianity, highlighting how they combined deep faith with ancient medical knowledge, offering both miraculous healings and skilled medical care. It examines the connection between ancient medicine and early Christian practices, emphasizing how The Healing Saints – Cosmas and Damian, Cyrus and John, Panteleimon and Hermolaus, Samson (founder of the first historical hospital) and Diomedes, Mokios and Aniketos, Thalelaeus and Tryphon – became a symbol of love for God and people. Without seeking any material gain, but solely serving anyone in need, these saints remain across the ages a model for physicians today.
