Summary/Abstract: The study explores the interdependence between light and judgment in the Gospel of John, emphasizing the dimension of realized eschatology. Judgment is not conceived as a future condemnation, but as a present experience generated by man’s free choice between light and darkness. The Light – identified with Christ – becomes the criterion of revelation, separation and transformation. The biblical analysis is supported by patristic and neptic references, highlighting judgment as an inner process through which man confronts the truth, recognizes his sin and opens himself to the work of divine grace.
