Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show, through the example of one particular text, how various medieval Latin ‚‘dramatic‘‘ works pertaining to the same genre and thematic range conform to the established stage conventions of the Middle Ages, which differ markedly from those of modernity and share common features with the liturgical ones. A further task is to clarify the genre boundaries of these works. For this purpose has been selected a „miracle“ for St. Nicholas, the choice being dictated by the convenience of the hagiographic basis which has provided a theme for other similar dramatic works. The drama is analysed in terms of its scenic possibilities, both in terms of logic of action flow and in terms of possible scenic solutions, characterisation of characters, temporal features and intertextual relationships.
