Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to adapt the Marital Spirituality Scale into Turkish as an appropriate tool to understand and measure Muslim individuals' perceptions of spirituality in marriage and the impact of their religious beliefs and practices on their marital relationships. In addition, psychometric properties of the scale were examined, and validity and reliability studies were conducted. In this context, the adaptation of the scale will provide a measurement tool capable of quantitatively assessing marital spirituality among couples in a manner that aligns with Turkish culture and Islamic principles. In this study, there are 4 different and independent study groups and a total of 389 married individuals. The study groups consisted of 150 Muslim married individuals for Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), 150 for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), 58 for scale-related validity, and 31 for test-retest validity. The data of the study were collected online from various provinces of Turkey between October-December 2024. EFA and CFA were performed to assess the construct validity of the scale, and the fit indices were found to be within the acceptable range. The Spiritual Coping in the Family Scale, examined for criterion validity, was found to have a positive significant relationship. The lower and upper 27% group comparison for item discriminant validity revealed that the scale items provided discriminant validity. Additionally, a positive and significant correlation was found between the scores obtained from the test-retest. As a result of the analyses conducted in this study, it was revealed that the Turkish form of the Marital Spirituality Scale has linguistic equivalence and is considered as a valid and reliable measurement tool. In the adaptation study, the scale consisted of two factors, and 16 items.
