Method for finding the true size of the cross-section of a right circular cylinder with a plane

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the development is to present the method for performing the task familiar with the design of a right circular cylinder, respectively in the frontal and horizontal projection planes – П1 and П2, and then to present the design of the cylinder section with an arbitrary secant plane γ, including the true size of the section. The methodology is applied in the coursework of students from engineering majors in the professional field of "Mechanical Engineering", studying the discipline "Applied Geometry and Engineering Graphics - Part 1".
