Summary/Abstract: As global economic conditions continue to fluctuate, understanding the delicate balance between inflation rates and natural resource utilization has become increasingly important for policymakers and industry stakeholders. This study aims to examine the complex relationship between inflation rates and natural resource management policies in Turkey over the period 1991–2021. The analysis incorporates factors such as foreign direct investment, banking sector development, and labor market indicators within four different natural resource models, applying the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach. The findings indicate the presence of long-run relationships across these models. When assessing the effects of inflation on policies related to strategic resources such as coal, minerals, oil, and natural gas, the results reveal that inflation exerts heterogeneous impacts across resource-specific policies. Overall, while inflation tends to strengthen policies regarding coal, mineral, and oil, the influence of other factors such as labor and banking sector development varies across models. By highlighting inflation as a critical determinant in natural resource governance, this study provides valuable insights and policy recommendations for designing sustainable strategies.
