Summary/Abstract: The article analyses connections between innovation policy models and types of science and technology parks and identifies the main characteristics of a science park as a knowledge organization acting in the holistic innovation system. Development of integrated science, study and business centres (valleys) in Lithuania is taken as a practical example in testing theoretical assumptions.
