Summary/Abstract: This study aimed to examine the role of career optimism and career adaptability variables in predicting the extent to which university students perceive their future jobs as decent work. The sample of the study consisted of 403 undergraduate students studying at universities in Türkiye who were not employed in any job. The Future Decent Work Scale and Career Future Scale were used as data collection tools. Pearson correlation analysis and Regression analysis were performed on the data obtained. SPSS and JAMOVI programs were used to conduct the analyses. The research findings showed that there were significant relationships between the variables and that career optimism and career adaptability together predicted future decent work at a moderate level (R = .47). This means that career optimism and career adaptability explained 22% of the total variance in future decent work. The findings were discussed in the context of the relevant literature, and suggestions were made for future researchers.
