Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to trace the presentation of the image of Bulgaria during the Paris Peace Conference (late July – mid-October 1946) by the Spanish newspaper “La Vanguardia Española”, which operated under the conditions of censorship imposed by the Franco dictatorship, which in the immediate past had strong sympathies for the defeated Hitlerite Germany and had negative feelings towards Stalin’s USSR. For the newspaper, Bulgaria was an aggressive country, highly dependent on Moscow, which deserved to undergo significant changes to its borders, mostly in favor of Greece.
