Summary/Abstract: From online ads to humanoid robots, AI is increasingly integrated into the arts. This paper discusses the role of technological innovation in reshaping creative practice, focusing on AI tools. Contributing to the growing discourse on the intersection of technologies and psychology of creativity, the analysis critically examines how AI art metastasises into AI slop and destabilises creative authenticity. To illustrate the authenticity crisis in human-machine creativity, an online experiment that evaluates viewers’ inability to distinguish AI images from children’s drawings is presented.
