Summary/Abstract: The historicity (historical definiteness) of music and that of musical culture are mutually connected. People are born and socialized into a historically determined musical culture, which is internally differentiated into heterogeneous divisions of music. A principle of social development historically is the growing internal differentiation of society and its progressive structuring and restructuring, which inevitably affects the development and differentiation of music, musical culture and the culture of music. These phenomena have a procedural nature. How do these processes develop in pre-modern, modern and post-modern societies? What sociocultural values and benefits do the arts have for society? What are positive externalities of musical culture? The report seeks some answers to the questions raised.
