Study of specialized vocabulary through detective texts in foreign language classes at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior

Summary/Abstract: This article examines the possibility of using the detective genre as an additional resource in teaching Russian for cadets in the system at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The emphasis is on professional vocabulary through detective literature or methodically reconstructing the original text, reflecting plausible aspects from the operational and investigative activities. A methodological approach is proposed that combines training with professional orientation, with a view to focusing on competencies in the communicative environment. The focus is on lexical-semantic analysis of a text with a criminal plot, which is developed for practical tasks, which is supported by specialized terminology and the development of an analytical approach.
