Returning to the Goal – This Step Takes You Forward

Summary/Abstract: Kriszta Kedves, one of the founders of UTP (Untitled Theatre Project), a theatre company focusing on theatre education, writes about the HolnapUtán (The Day After Tomorrow) festival organized by the Szigligeti Theatre of Oradea held between May 12 and May 15, 2025. This year, the event specifically aimed to present performances appealing to younger audiences. According to the festival’s call for entries, the productions included in the program had to meet three criteria: they had to be specifically targeted to school-age children, they had have an educational purpose, and include some interactive element. As a result, the final selection was very diverse: viewers were treated to workshops associated with institutional theatre performances, complex theatre in education (TIE) performances, classroom drama and educational drama as well.
