Summary/Abstract: The scientific study is dedicated to the issue of the impact of the participation of convicted and released persons from detention centers located in the Transnistrian separatist region and from Russiain the 1992 war against the Republic of Moldova. The article contains information about the prisoners released from places of detention located in the Transnistrian separatist region and from Russia which have committed murders, rapes, robberies, kidnappings and other atrocities against the civilian population and representatives of law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Moldova. Analyzing the materials, documents, facts, we conclude that during the 1992 war, more than 200 Russian criminals were documented, who died, were imprisoned and were detained by the law enforcement bodies of the Republicof Moldova. In reality their presence in the region was much greater, some of them came on their own to continue their criminal activity.
