Summary/Abstract: Criticism of historigraphy is mostly made based on truthfulness and authenticity of a document that belongs to a forgotten world, yet is reminded by researchers in the field of history. The chronicler of the North Danube area appears in a time in which logging has become a necessity for the very existence of the state. Not only does this aspect needs to be looked at, but as well as the desire for cultural emancipation that represented a new point in historical writing. After criticism was analyzed in relation to the North-Danube area, we can speak of an evolution of Romanian historiography since the first Slavonic Chronicles until the inter-war era. This paper has two purposes: the introduction requires a critical analysis of the concept of critique that the researcher made in relation to the historical documents (the concept of "protective Deity" that appears in the first Slavonic Chronicles) and a philosophical study that includes a comparison between the Western thought of pessimism (where Divinity was punishing the individual for insubordination) and the Eastern (Romanian principalities) thought (that treated differently the existence and influence of God, in everyday life).
