Summary/Abstract: In this study I will focus on the life and work of Nicolae Ianovici, an Aromanian linguist, native of Moscopole. Arriving to Pest, a city of the Habsburg Empire, Nicolae Ianovici, composed a dictionary in two volumes summarizing 1302 pages titled “Diccionariu tru cinci limbe ellinescu, grecescu, rumanescu, nemcescu shii madsarescu”. His work is extremely important for the study of dialects and languages in which the dictionary was written.
