Summary/Abstract: Three call-in shows from the youth radio station Skyrock, recorded in 2003, 2013, and 2023, are analysed from an argotological point of view to discuss the circulation of lexemes describing people in neutral, positive, and negative ways. The results show that these broadcasts consist mainly of common slang and youth slang. Neologisms are rare, likely because Skyrock is a national radio station that caters to a larger audience without being overly cryptic. This article highlights the recurring presence of ten lexemes (mec, pote, balèze, meuf, daron/daronne, beau gosse, bonne, bonhomme, bâtard, and gros) and discusses the circulation of others. This circulation is maintained by the team of presenters (especially the younger ones) and, to a lesser extent, by the listeners. This study contributes to broader research on the dynamics of youth slang, contextualised with other sources such as large web corpora and rap song lyrics.
